Bangkok Hiking Halloween Special hiking trip. We are taking you to hike the haunted. The hiking distance is around 11km from the starting trail to the actual plane crash site. There is a story of the hikers witnessing a couple of foreigners dressed unfit in the business shirt and suit walking in the trail and disappearing around the crash site. 

About the Plane Crash sites

Lauda Air Flight 004 was a regularly scheduled international passenger flight between Bangkok, Thailand, and Vienna, Austria. 

On 26 May 1991, 12 minutes after take-off, the crew got an advisory warning. The thrust reverser on the No.1 engine deployed in flight without being commanded, causing the aircraft to spiral out of control. The fuselage crashed in the jungle at a 45 angle and exploded. One of the aircraft’s wings was found 19km and the cockpit 1.5km from the main crash site, killing all 213 passengers and the 10 crew members on board.  It was the deadliest aviation incident involving a Boeing 767 at the time and the deadliest aviation incident in Thai history.

7.00: Van leaves from the Meeting point. We head to Phu Toei National Park, Suphanburi Province. It takes us around 3hr to get there. We will stop at the gas station for a break during the ride.

10.30: Arrived at National Park, which is considered as one of Thailand’s most haunted national parks. 

• Get a ticket and registration for the walk. We will pack a lunch box and drinking water with us during the hike.  
• The hiking trail is rated as intermediate. It’s a long walk, around 11 km with small to intermediate elevation gain.

13.00: Arrive at the plane crash site. We will have lunch at the viewpoint, Then return to the van at the same trail

16.30-16.45: Return to the van.  Change into dry clothes, get snack and refreshment then we will return to Bangkok.

20.30 – 21.00: Return to Bangkok and end of the trip.
