Overview
There are around 20 homes in this peaceful, little village, and the majority of the residents are young children and grandparents. Unlike most villages in Mae Hong Sorn or hilltribes, this community is Christian, and the family would return home over the Christmas holiday to rejoice with their relatives.
They have a small church in the center, and the Christmas Eve party is kept as simple as possible: no luxuary Christmas decorations, expensive gifts, or overconsumption of food. The villagers will come together to sing songs for Jesus. When it gets late and the moon is totally out, they will put up a Christmas carol and stroll down the street to each villager with a classic guitar before concluding the trail in the church, where small fireworks will be set off at night.
We are cordially invited to participate in this custom and to join this charming village in celebrating something small yet meaningful.

Itinerary

Day 1
7.00: Van leaves from Starbucks ThaPar, Chiangmai
8.00: Wat Den Sali Si Mueang Kaen (Wat Ban Den).
-Lunch in Pai city
14.00: Arrive at Nam Lod Cave
19.00: Arrive at Pang Ung, We set up campsite next to the resourvior. Enjoy the rest of the night.
Day 2
5.30: Wake up for the bamboo ride in Pai Reservoir.
8.00: Breakfast. After return from breakfast, we will tidy up our campsite and continuous on the road to Mae Hong Sorn Province.
12.00: Arrive to Mae Hong Sorn Province. Lunch and visit Mae Hong Sorn’s temple.
14.00: We will meet the villagers and travel to the village where we join their Christmas eve event. and get our campsite set up, and get some rest before the main activities
- During the evening, we will prepare Christmas with the villagers and attend their traditional events.
Day 3
7.00: Breakfast with the villager
10.00: Tidy our campsite and return back to Chiangmai
Visit Bua Tong Waterfall (Sticky waterfall)
– We will have lunch on the way back
16.00: Return to Chiangmai and end of the trip
