Canoe Camping trip in Nan’s most beautiful river. Try something new on your christmas holiday. We are taking the new adventure to canoe and camping in the northern river of Thailand. The water in this route is mostly still, with some to minimal white water, making it easy for beginners to take adventure to their first canoe trip. 

We are going to camp in an isolated location on Christmas eve and Christmas Night. This would be a totally unique experience for your Christmas holiday.

The total water distance is 45km, we are going to break the distance down into 3 days, 2 nights. With a slow speed of 3-5km per hour. In each canoe, we also have an experienced waterman, who will keep us safe.

Day 1: Thu 23

21.25: Last check in At Caltex Gas Station near Ari BTS Station

21.30: Van leaves from Bangkok to Nan Province

Day 2: Fri 24 (Christmas Eve)

6.00: Arrive at Wat Pratad Khao Noi. We will visit the temple peak to see the sunrise, over the city of Nan, while having breakfast and coffee

7.00: Continue our drive to the starting point, stop at the local market.

Leave from the hotel to the starting point.

8.00: Arrive at the starting point

• brief introduction, safety briefing, and warm-up.
• Transfer our personal stuff, camping stuff onto the canoe .
• Canoe Capacity: 2 people each + 1 waterman (optional if you don’t have experience)
• Distance is around 15 km per day, we are going at a slow and relax speed which should take around 4-5 hours (3km per 40-60mins)
• Lunch break on the riverbank
• Breaks could be during the canoe or on the riverbanks

15.00: Arrive at the campsite. We set up a campsite. It’s going to be a backcountry style, with no electricity & facilities.

17.00: Christmas Dinner time then rest for the rest of the day

Day 3: Christmas Day

7.30-8.00: Breakfast and pack up our campsite. Tiny up or campsite and leave on the canoe for our journey

15.00: Arrive at the campsite. We set up a campsite. It’s going to be a backcountry style, with no electricity & facilities.

17.00: Dinner time then rest for the rest of the day

Day 4: Sun 26th

6.30-7.00: Breakfast and pack up our campsite. Tiny up or campsite and leave on the canoe for our journey

10.00: Arrived at the end village, ending our canoe adventure. Our van will pick us up, then we will drive back to the city. Once we get to the local guide office, we take a shower and get refreshed. 

11.00: Arrive in Nan city. Visit the most romantic temple in Thailand, Wat Phumin. Where you find hidden love messages on the wall painting at the temple.

11.30: Lunch 

12.00: Leave from Nan back to Bangkok

21.00-22.00: Return to Bangkok and end the trip

Canoe Experience Requirement

• No canoe experience is OK. We have the intro to canoeing before we start, Also there’s a water-man going with the canoe as well.
