See the unseen and hike the less-travelled mountain in the northern part of Thailand. We are going to visit 5 mountains in 6 provinces in the northern part of Thailand during this christmas holiday. 

This trip starts from Bangkok all the way up to the magic mountain, the unseen spots. Then we hike the mountain in Nan and Prayao to see the unseen cave and sunset. We will camp over Christmas Eve night. The next day, we are going to hike the roof of Phare, it’d take the whole day, before we drive down to Sukhothai. On our last day, we will bike around the historical park. Hike the monkey king mountain, and visit the retro food market, before ending our trip.

Day 1 Thu 23rd Dec

19.25: Last Check-In

19.30: The van leaves Bangkok and our Chrimast trip begins 

Day 2 Fri 24th Dec/ Christmas Eve

06.00: Arrive at Magic Mountain. Get coffee and enjoy the view of the sunrise at one of the most unique and beautiful sunrise spots.

8.00: After the refreshment, we return to the van and continue our trip to Sakern Cave National Park.

8.30: Hike up to the big cave on the mountain peaks and visit other caves around the National Park. If we have more time, we can also get to the waterfall. 

12.00: Back to National Park entrance for Lunch, after lunch we drive to Doi Langka National Park

14.00: Arrive at Doi Langka National Park. 

• Get our ticket, make a registration.
• Get to the campsite, set up our campsite.

16.00: Start hiking to the peak of magic mountain (4km)

17.30: Sunset view and return to the campsite

19.00: Return to the campsite. Dinner and enjoy the rest of our day 🙂

Day 3 Sat 25th/ Christmas

6.00-6.30: Coffee and breakfast

7.00: Take down our campsite, and leave our campsite.  Today we are going to travel to Phrae Province. 

9.30: Arrive at the hiking site. We are going to hike the mountain line which is known as the roof of Phrae. 

• This trail is 8km in distance. Take around 3-4 hours to finished the hike (back & forth) 
• The first 4km (90 mins), is the combination of dirt road, tea plantation, local forest and part of LamnamNan National Park.   The last 500 meters (30mins) is going through the bamboo forest and the peak. We are not allowed to enter the rockery peak.  But still it’s a beautiful site to see as it’s the highest peak in Phrae Province. 

14.00: Return to the van, Lunch. After lunch we will drive to Sukhothai. It’s taking around 3hr for us to rest after a long day. 

17.30: Arrive at Sukhothai Province, We will check-in to the hotel nearby. 

18.00: Dinner, then return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of our night 

Day 4 Sun 26

6.00-6.30: Breakfast

6.30: We leave for Sukhothai Historical Park. 

• We are going to  bike inside the First Capital of Thailand, to see the ruins and remain in the beautiful mountain background. 

08.00: Return to the hotel. Shower, and check out. Then we are going to continue our hiking trip to NakornSawan Province for our last hike

10.30: Arrive at Khao Nor-Khao Kaew. We are going to start hiking to the peak. (900 meters on the staircase & 300 meters to the peak by the ladder stair. (Take around 1.5hours to finish the hike and return)

12.30: Back to the entrance, then we have lunch. After lunch, we will continue our trip to Singburi. To visit the food market. 

15.00: Arrive at the old-style market. This is a unique market where vendors dress up in traditional Thai dress. 

16.00: Return to the van, and leave for Bangkok

18.00: Arrive to Bangkok, we will drop you off at Mochit BTS/MRT STation

1. Magic Mountain

2. Sakern Cave National Park – Cave

• Distance: 2km in total distance.  (800 meters up to the cave, the trail is steep)  

3. Phulanka Peak

• Level: Intermediate

• Distance: 8km in total distance.  (4 km/ one way (First 3 km is on the dirt road/ Last 800 meters is a trail on top to the viewpoint)  

Day 2

4. Chang Pa Dan (The roof of Phare) 

• Level: Intermediate to Challenge

• Distance: 9km in total distance.  (4.5km The first 4km trail is the combination of dirt road, tea plantation, local forest and part of LamnamNan National Park. The last 500 meters is going through the bamboo forest and the peak. We are not allowed to enter the rockery peak)
