Follow the urban tales trails on the 2 days, 1 night trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai with interesting stops on our journey. Our first Tale is to visit the temple that will tell us the fantasy of heaven and hell. Then, we hike to the peak of the Trail of Monkey King to search for the mysterious large monkey that is often seen on the top of the peak. Then we head to Mae Wa national park, and hike to the new foundly peak of Lampang. Before lastly visit Lampang Luang Temple, the oldest and most beautiful wooden temple in Thailand. 

We are making a road trip with multiple stops to Chiang Mai. The 2 days 1 night trip to visit 4 locations and viewpoints. This is only a 1 way trip to Chiang Mai city, you can choose to fly back, take the train back or extend your stay in Chiang Mai for a few more days.

Day 1

6.50: Meet at Wutthakat BTS Station

7.00: Leave from Bangkok

9.00: Arrive at Wat Muang, AngThong province. This temple has the biggest seated buddha in the world. We walk around to also see interesting things around the temple. After that, we will leave for our second hike at Khao Nor peak.

12.00: We get to Khao Nor in Nakhon Sawan Province. Have a lunch box before we start our hike. Khao Nor is a limestone peak in the temple. There’s an urban tale about finding a Monkey King, the monkey size of a human on the top of the peak. The urban tales started in 1905, when the King Rama 5 was traveling to the area with the photographer team and took a mystery photo of the big monkey. The local also believes that the Monkey King likes to get to the peak to take care and protect the other monkeys. 

15.00: We get refreshment after the hike, then continue our journey to 

18.30: Arrive at Mae Wa National Park in Lampang Province, and check in to our cabins 

19.00: Dinner and enjoy the rest of our evening. 

Day 2: 

6.30 – 7.00: Breakfast

7.00: Start hiking to the Pha Dang Peak. It’s 2,220 km long and 710 meters elevation high. It takes around 4 hours to get to the peak and return

11.30: Return to the carbin, we take shower and checkout

12.00: Lunch. Then we leave to ChiangMai

14.00: Arrive at Lampang Luang Temple. This temple is the oldest and considered to be the most beautiful wooden temple in Thailand. It’s built in northern style. It’s famous for people who were born in Ox year

15.00: Leave the temple back to Chiang Mai

17.00: Arrive in Chiang Mai city. We will drop you off at the Airport/or train station. Or at your hotel in the city of Chiangmai, and end our trip.
