Privacy Policy
We have several adjustments required to conform with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562, which goes into effect on June 1, 2022.
- We will remove your personal information after each trip has ended. This will affect the requirement to register for each trip individually.
- We encourage you to re-register because an incomplete registration could result in the loss of the following benefits:
- Full Name: Insurance coverage will be denied if the given name does not match the name on the passport.
- Phone number: In the event that we are unable to reach you, we reserve the right to make a group-beneficial decision. We reserve the right to provide refunds and/or store credit.
- Email: We will send a receipt and confirmation to your email address, unless you specifically request otherwise.
- Emergency Contact: We will only contact your emergency contact in the event of an emergency. Without emergency contact, we shall make a decision based on the advice of authority and/or make a decision based on the members’ best interests.
- Food Option: The default food option will be vegetarian.
- LINE Group Chat. We use LINE Group Chat to share trip-related information and photos.
- After June 1st, we will no longer add you to group chats. We will instead send you the QR code that you may use to join the group. Additionally, you can request that the administrator add you to the group chat.
- You are at all times free to join or leave the group.
- We never share your personal information to a third party. Other members of the group are also included.
- Photos
- Our Bangkok Hiking Staff or other members may take photographs during the trip, and your photo or a part of your photo may be captured. If you do not want your picture taken, please let our staff and other members know ahead.
- We share photos from our trip on Facebook, Instagram, and Meetup.
- Photos from the trip will be released for the purpose of sharing experiences, including any in which you may appear (e.g., group photo). Please let us know if you do not want your photos to be published before or after the event.

Bangkok Hiking Co Limited (collectively referred to as the “Company”) cares about Personal Data of Company’s customers and trading – business partners (collectively referred to as the “you” or “Data Subject”). Data processing of Personal Data shall act in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562. Here, the Company hereby announces its Privacy Notice in order to inform you of your rights and duties related to collection, use or disclosure of your Personal Data.
- Personal Data means any data and information relating to a person which enables the identification of person, directly or indirectly. Sensitive Personal Data means any data and information relating to a person which sensitive to the person’s fundamental rights and freedoms (e.g. racial, ethnic origin, health data, disabilities, biometric data)
Bangkok Hiking Co Limited shall collect Personal Data within the purpose, scope and lawful and fair methods as is necessary. The Personal Data collected shall include:
- Given name and Family name
- Phone number
- Emergency contact
- Food option
- Information obtained by the Company or automated methods from other devices, including but not limited to MAC address, IP address.
In this regard, the Company shall request consent from Data Subject before collecting, except:
- To prevent or suppress a danger to a Person’s life, body or health;
- For compliance with the law;
- For legitimate interests of the Company so as to fulfil its operational objects in which suitable measures to safeguard Data Subject’s rights and freedom are put in place.
The Company may required to collect Sensitive Personal Data from Data Subject. Company shall request for explicit consent from Data Subject upon each collecting, processing or disclosing your Sensitive Personal Data, except
- To prevent or suppress a danger to a Person’s life, body or health;
- For compliance with the law;
- For legitimate interests of the Company so as to fulfil its operational objects in which suitable measures to safeguard Data Subject’s rights and freedom are put in place.
Bangkok Hiking Co Limited obtains Personal Data directly from Data Subject through any activities, including but not limited to membership sign-up. Obtain of Personal Data may also from automated system including but not limited to MAC address, IP address.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes or for other purposes notified at the time of collecting Personal Data. Also, the given consent after collected such Personal Data. The Company shall use Personal Data only to fulfil its operational objects.
The Company shall never transferring or disclosing your Personal Data, excepts;
- To prevent or suppress a danger to a Person’s life, body or health;
- For compliance with the law;
- For legitimate interests of the Company so as to fulfil its operational objects in which suitable measures to safeguard Data Subject’s rights and freedom are put in place.
The Company may transfer Personal Data to a foreign country. In this regard, the Company shall ascertain that international organization which receives such Personal Data shall meet the equivalent or adequate data protection standards.
The Company shall retain and use your Personal Data as long as necessary for the purposes of Processing Personal Data contemplated in this Privacy Notice. Your Personal Data shall be removed after its fulfilment of Company operation.
With respect to the las and as contemplated in this Privacy Notice, Data Subject may exercise rights as described below:
- Right to access and obtain copy of Data Subject’s Personal Data;
- Right to rectified inaccurate Personal Data;
- Right to complete Personal Data;
- Right to Data Portability;
- Right to erase, destroy or anonymize Personal Data, should such Personal Data be no longer necessary for Company operation or unless there are certain circumstances where the Company has legal grounds to reject the request;
- Right to restrict the use of Personal Data under circumstances;
- Right to withdraw consent;
- Right to object the Processing of Personal Data

Cancellations
Trips must be cancelled at least 24 hours before departure due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or injury, flight delays or cancellations, personal and family emergencies, plan interruption, or any other personal reasons.
Cancellation made less than 24 hours before departure time in any circumstances include personal, family, friend emergencies. Plan/ work interruption. Late arrival or fail to present at departure spot at the last check-in time
If you decide to cancel your trip, the following rules apply and at the time (prior to departure) we receive written notice of your cancellation.

Join Bangkok Hiking Club or buy cancellation insurance with your trip purchase to earn credit after the cancellation period.
If you decide to cancel your trip, the following rules apply and at the time (prior to departure) we receive written notice of your cancellation.

- If a member needs to cancel after the 30-day refund period and wants to get their money back in full, they can do so by submitting a guest replacement.
- The guest replacement should be done at least 24 hours before departure to get full benefit (insurance and choice of food option)
- You should bring the person who will be taking your place
- If you want us to find someone to take your place. Please complete the form. We’ll fill any unsold spots before selling any of yours.
Bangkok Hiking reserves the right to cancel all or a portion of a trip for force majeure or any other circumstances beyond our control and, in the event of such cancellation, full or partial refunds, if any, will be at Bangkok Hiking Tour Guide’s sole discretion.
Weather-related cancellation
- It is possible that we would receive a forecast for extremely severe rain a day or two before our departure. We’ll have to cancel the trip if there’s any significant rain or floods in the forecast for the area. We will issue a complete refund.
- In the event of normal rainfall, which typically lasts for an hour, we may delay or modify our destination, which may impact our itinerary.
Location closure, flooding, accident and any other circumstances beyond our control
- If the trip has already departed and there is a closure at the destination, we have no control over the situation. First, we shall identify alternatives to similar activity. If there is a ticket charge, we will reimburse the ticket fee, but the entire trip will not be refunded.
Minimum Requirements
- We also reserve the right to cancel any trip if sign-up is inadequate to make the trip economically feasible for us to operate, and in this event, we give a full refund of the trip price plus 200 THB cash Voucher for your future use.
