Bangkok Hiking is working with Ban Wong Hora Village to hike for a good cause. We are going to take you for an easy-one day hike to adopt the tree and potentially save the mountain from mining business to save local,wild animals and the environment.  The hiking distance is around 2km with viewpoints in the natural trail. 

We are also going to have lunch from the ingredients from local farmers and forest, as we are going to give and take from the forest on this one day hike.

08.00: Van leaves from the Gas Station near Wutthakat BTS Station. We are driving to Suphanburi Province, which takes us around 3+ hours with a gas station break.

11.30: Arrive at Wong Hora village. We are going to meet the local community, who will introduce us to the adopt the tree program. We will also get a breifty trail introduction and instructions

12.00: Lunch. Before we start hiking, we will have lunch provided by local villagers. The food we have is mainly local ingredients,some of the ingredients we also get from the forest. As we are giving and receiving from the forest we hike today. 

13.00: After lunch, we get back to the van to have a short transfer to the trail starting point. Before we start hiking, we will receive a piece of monk’s rope like pe to adopt your tree on the trail we are going to hike. 

          The forest’s story: The community is running this program to save the forest and the hill from the government selling this part to the mining company.  They are running a program to promote tourism in this area, as the more people know about this area, the less likely it will get destroyed. Adopt the tree program is the combination of the Buddishm beliefs and social movement, as Thai-Buddishm believe that one of the greatest sin is to kill monks, therefore putting a monetary rope around the tree is a symbolic for avoid cutting trees

         On top of this program, the trail we hike also has viewpoints we will hike to visit.

15.00: Return to the trail start, get some herbal drink also from the local, then we will return to Bangkok

18.30-19.00: Arrive to Bangkok and end the trip
